About the Municipality of
Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau

With the exception of municipalities that have been amalgamated in recent years, Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau is the most recently created municipality in the MRC.

Founded in 1946, the municipality has relatively few permanent residents but does receive a significant influx of vacationers who reside along the shores of the Thirty-one Mile Lake, one of the most attractive waterways in Québec.

If you come to the region, you simply have to visit the White-tailed Deer Interpretation Centre near the village. The facility was established because Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau is home to one of the largest White-tailed deer winteryards in Québec.
